Mohamed Salah of FC Liverpool renounces Man-of-the-Match Award

Mohamed Salah is awarded after the game against Bournemouth to the player of the game. The Egyptian, however, passes the award on to a teammate.

It has long been known that Mohamed Salah is one of the most down-to-earth players in the world of football.

The Egyptian proved this once again with a beautiful gesture after Liverpool FC beat AFC Bournemouth 4-0.

Salah passes award to Milner

Salah, however, decided not to accept the award, but instead paid tribute to the impressive career of his teammate James Milner, who was up against Bournemouth for the 500th time in the Premier League.

“I must congratulate him on his great career. He deserves it today. I won’t accept the award,” Salah said in a double interview with teary-eyed Milner at Sky Sports.
